Besides being the world’s largest city in terms of land area, Davao‘s attention to the environment and its safe, crime-free streets have placed it in the list of Asia ‘s most livable cities. As a tourist destination, Davao boasts an abundant supply of fresh seafood and fruits, beaches, resorts, historical and cultural destinations. A melting pot of various cultures, Davao also has old churches, mosques, and Buddhist temples. Visitors from all over the world visit Davao during the week-long Kadayawan festival, held every third week of August. The festival is a thanksgiving for bountiful harvest and culminates in a breathtaking floral parade.
