Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific spokesperson said, “We hope that many will realize how affordable it is to travel by air with our trademark low fares. We encourage bus and ferry passengers, to avail of this limited opportunity and experience flying for the first time. “

Iyog explained that the all-in one-way fare, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, from Cebu to Butuan would cost a little over P960 while a ferry ride would cost around P660.

Similarly, a one-way Cebu-Cagayan ticket, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, would cost a little over P1,300 while a boat ride would cost approximately P1,000. The advantage of taking Cebu Pacific’s Cebu-Bacolod flight is even more apparent with its one-way all-in ticket at P1,010 while a fourteen hour ferry ride via Iloilo would cost P1,400.

She added, “It’s so convenient to take a one-hour Manila-Laoag flight for P1,010 one-way, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, instead of taking a ten hour bus ride at P720. We hope many will see the advantages of this proposition.”

She concluded, “This offering is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to bring air travel closer to as many Filipinos and make each city accessible to the flying public. We hope that this will encourage more economic activity in the destinations we operate in, as well.”
