Cebu Pacific (CEB), the leading airline from the Philippines to the ASEAN region and the airline business unit of JG Summit Holdings Inc., inaugurates its flights to Vietnam today.

Cebu Pacific’s Manila-Hanoi A319 service is offered three times weekly, (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). The flight departs from Manila at 10:50pm and arrives at the Noi Bai International Airport at 12:25am of the following day. The return flight leaves Hanoi at 1:10am and arrives in Manila at 4:45am.

The airline will also start flying to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) tomorrow. The Ho Chi Minh service is scheduled to operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The flight leaves Manila at 10:50pm and arrives at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 12:15am of the following day. Consequently, the flight to Manila leaves at 1:00am and arrives at 4:25am.

Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific spokesperson said, “We are very happy to start our operations to Vietnam because of the many attractive sites Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh have to offer. We are sure that our new service and low fares to two of Vietnam’s major cities will further encourage local residents from both countries to see the rich cultures both countries have to offer.”

Cebu Pacific is the only airline operating a direct service to Hanoi. The lowest year round one-way fare to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh starts from P999, exclusive of taxes and surcharges.

Now in its 13th year, Cebu Pacific continues to have the youngest fleet in the Philippines. It flies to 14, soon to be 16 international destinations, with the addition of Kaohsiung in June and Kota Kinabalu in July. Cebu Pacific also operates flights to 21 domestic destinations.
