Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading domestic airline with the most number of flights and destinations from the Philippines to the ASEAN region, inaugurates its direct Hong Kong-Davao service today.

The Hong Kong-Davao A319 service is offered four-times weekly (Tuesday, Thursday Saturday, and Sunday). The flight departs from Hong Kong at 12:15am and arrives at the Davao International Airport at 3:05am. The return flight to Hong Kong is scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The flight leaves Davao at 8:40pm and arrives in Hong Kong at 11:30pm.

Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Product announced, “We are very excited to be operating a direct service from Hong Kong to Davao because we know that this will entice many Hong Kong residents and foreign travelers to visit the rich island of Mindanao with its wonderful adventure and leisure attractions.

“We are sure that our trademark low fares will also spur travel to Hong Kong, one of Asia’s fastest growing tourist destinations.” Iyog said.

Cebu Pacific is the only airline operating a non-stop Hong Kong-Davao service. It also operates a five-times weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) service from Hong Kong to Cebu. The airline operates three flights daily from Hong Kong to Manila which will become a four-times times daily service starting June 30, 2008.

Cebu Pacific offers a HKD 250 one-way year round fare from Hong Kong to Davao, Cebu, and Manila. This is 62% lower than the current fares for these routes. The fare is exclusive of government taxes and applicable surcharges.

Iyog added, “The best way to book your flights is through www.cebupacificair.com, though this is also available through accredited travel agents.”

Now on its 13th year, Cebu Pacific operates flights to 21 domestic destinations and flies to 14 and soon to be 16 international destinations with the addition of Kaohsiung and Kota Kinabalu in the coming months.
