Cebu Pacific offers 70% savings on fares to Korea & Japan as it offers P2,999 seat sale to Incheon, Busan, and Osaka.

Philippine value-airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) is offering a promotional P2,999 one-way fare to Korea and Osaka, Japan from April 16 to April 23, 2009, reflecting as much as 70 percent in savings from current fares from other airlines.

Travel period is from June 1 to July 31, 2009 for the Manila-Osaka route and June 1 to September 30, 2009 for the flights to Korea.

Promotional fares are non-refundable. Fare is exclusive of applicable government taxes.

Cebu Pacific offers daily flights from both Manila and Cebu to Incheon (Seoul) and twice weekly flights (Tuesday and Sunday) from Cebu to Gimhae, Busan. The airline also offers thrice weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday) from Manila to Osaka.

Cebu Pacific president Lance Gokongwei said the low fares are designed to duplicate Cebu Pacific’s success in stoking travel within the Philippines where it continues to be the Number 1 domestic carrier.

After the sale, Cebu Pacific’s lowest year-round fare to Korea and Osaka starts at P4,999 one-way, which is still 60% lower than those offered by other airlines

“The seat sale of Cebu Pacific flights from Osaka and Korea for will definitely be a tremendous boost to our efforts to attract more Japanese and Korean travelers to the Philippines,” said Department of Tourism Director Benito Bengzon Jr.

Passengers traveling to Korea with no check-in baggage get a P200 discount from the fare.
