Cebu Pacific will be adding four more turbo-prop ATR 72-500 aircraft to its fleet, giving them a total of ten 72-seater planes and a 25-strong fleet in total. These smaller planes will help Cebu Pacific to bring their low-cost fares to more of the country’s 75 airports, particularly smaller ones like Caticlan (the service for which has started on February 29).
“We have hubs in Manila, Cebu and Davao and hopefully Clark,” explains Cebu Pacific’s president M.r Lance Gokongwei. “All of these can be staging points for travel to what, up to now, have been largely inaccessible destinations,” he says.
