Cebu Pacific targets business and leisure travelers for Japan, Korea travel with seat sale as low as P2,499

Asia’s third-largest low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) aims to increase its traffic to Japan and Korea with a seat sale as low as P2,499. The seat sale period is from November 6-8, 2009, for travel this January 15 to March 15, 2010.

Passengers going on Manila-Incheon, Cebu-Incheon and Cebu-Busan flights can avail of the P2,499 ‘Go Lite’ seat sale fare, which is 35% lower than the lowest year-round fare of P3,899. Those with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking.

Cebu Pacific flies daily from Manila and Cebu to Incheon, and twice weekly from Cebu to Busan.

Meanwhile, Manila-Osaka passengers can avail of 52% discount off the lowest year-round fare of P5,499, with the seat sale fare of P2,599. Cebu Pacific flies every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday to Osaka.

The seat sale fares of P2,499 and P2,599 for Korea and Japan respectively are meant to promote the airline’s frequencies and routes to East Asia, especially since it is the only local airline flying to all three major East Asian countries: South Korea, Japan and China.

“Cebu Pacific offers the lowest fare alternative to Korea and Japan. This is why we really encourage business and leisure travelers to take advantage of our seat sales to travel to these key cities, especially from January to March next year,” said Cebu Pacific VP for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.

“We will continue offering these low fares because we see a need for value-oriented services in today’s economic state. Our commitment to stimulating the economy and tourism in the destinations we fly to remains the same,” she added.
