Not only is Cebu Pacific the country’s number one domestic airline, but Cebu Pacific’s 92 direct weekly flights is the most number of ASEAN routes and destinations from the Philippines than any other airline. Cebu Pacific is number one in the region and proud to offer so many choices, at great fares. Outside the ASEAN region, Cebu Pacific also flies to Taipei, Hong Kong, Macau, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Seoul and Pusan, and there are more destinations to come this year. Keep your eyes peeled!
According to the UBS Investment Research report from January to September 2007, domestic air travel passenger growth in the Philippines is higher, at 23 percent, even than China (a 16 percent growth rate). The Philippines is rated third in the world, after India and Mexico (33 and 27 percent). There were almost 10.4 million travelers in the Philippines in 2007. Cebu Pacific is really leading the way and Cebu Pacific CEO Mr. Lance Gokongwei says:
“It’s noteworthy that the top seven growth areas for tourist arrivals in 2007 are areas where Cebu Pacific started or expanded operations over the past year. We believe this is because of our trademark low fares.”
Cebu Pacific’s vision is being realized as it gets nearer to its dream of making travel accessible for every Juan.
“As the leading domestic carrier in the Philippines, we know that we are able to effectively bring air travel closer to more Filipinos,” explains Mr. Gokongwei. “This has always been our vision as an airline and we intend to continue with our expansion in order to bring our low fares to more people.”
