Low-fare leader Cebu Pacific (CEB) inaugurates its three-times weekly service from Manila to Kaohsiung, Taiwan today.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Cebu Pacific’s A319 service departs from Manila at 11:40am and arrives at the Kaohsiung International Airport at 1:25pm. The return flight leaves Kaohsiung at 1:55pm and arrives in Manila at 2:40pm.

On Saturdays, the flight leaves Manila at 4:55pm and lands in Kaohsiung at 6:40pm. It departs for Manila at 7:10pm and arrives at 8:55pm.

“Kaohsiung is the second largest city in Taiwan and is our fifteenth international destination. We are confident that this will increase accessibility for trade between the country’s capital and the industrial development zone in the Southern region of Taiwan,” Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific VP for Marketing and Product said.

Cebu Pacific is the only Filipino airline operating a direct service to Kaohsiung. It also operates a five-times weekly service between Manila and Taipei.

“We hope that with our trademark year round low fares Filipino overseas workers can now go home more frequently and more Taiwanese residents would explore the heritage attractions in Luzon.”

The lowest year round one-way fare to Kaohsiung starts from P1,499, exclusive of taxes and surcharges. Passengers may book their tickets via www.cebupacificair.com

Cebu Pacific has a fleet of ten A319s, eight A320s, and two ATR 72-500 aircraft. The airline flies to 16 international destinations with the addition of Kota Kinabalu next month. It will also add Tuguegarao and Naga,in its domestic network this June and San Jose (Mindoro) in July.
