Cebu Pacific passenger growth to Japan up by 56%; Cebu Pacific holds Osaka and select domestic seat sale promo for as low as P499
The only Philippine low-cost carrier flying to Japan, Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced that its passenger growth for its Manila-Osaka route went up by 56%, based on January-September 2009 and 2010 figures.
Cebu Pacific flew 32,399 passengers to and from Japan from January-September this year, 11,576 more passengers compared to the same period last year. The airline began flying to Osaka last November 20, 2008.
Because of this, Cebu Pacific offers a seat sale to Osaka and select domestic destinations from November 13-15, 2010 or until seats last, for travel from January 1-March 31, 2011.
Guests can avail of P3,999 ‘Go’ fares from Manila to Osaka, which is 33% less than the lowest year-round fare of P5,999 for this route. Cebu Pacific will operate a 179-seater Airbus A320 to and from Osaka on January 2-11, 2010 to cope with demand, and a 156-seater Airbus A319 on the succeeding days.
Meanwhile, those traveling from Manila to Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Legazpi and Tagbilaran (Bohol), as well as Cebu to Davao can avail of P499 ‘Go Lite’ seats.
P999 ‘Go Lite’ seats from Manila to Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Zamboanga. Guests with check-in luggage will just add P100 to ‘Go Lite’ fares upon booking.
“With this seat sale, Cebu Pacific continues to offer its trademark low fares, and extensive domestic and international network for the convenience of its guests. We operate the youngest aircraft fleet in the country, and expect delivery of more brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft until 2014,” said Cebu Pacific VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Cebu Pacific operates the youngest aircraft fleet in the country, and will take delivery of three brand new A320 aircraft in the last quarter of 2010. The airline flew the most number of domestic and international passengers in the 1st half of 2010, based on Civil Aeronautics Board data.
